Will Ferrell‘s intensely physical brand of comedy might never be described as “highbrow,” but that won’t stop this absurd little video from brightening up your day.
On last night’s episode of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell made his grand entrance in full-on mod finery, singing a happy song about how much everyone loves his tight pants. Not to be outdone, Jimmy Fallon sang about his tight pants too, which seemed to spark some rage hidden deep inside of Ferrell’s character.
“Now you listen to me, you sick son of a bitch,” said Ferrell, then launched into one of those seething, dark diatribes he shifts into so well. Unwilling to go up against all of that, Jimmy’s bizaro tight-pants-man character agreed to take his bulge and move on to the next town.
After the skirmish, they talked about how strange it was that those two guys lived in the same town but had never met before, and also about Ferrell’s upcoming film The Campaign, in which he stars with Zach Galifianakis and which I am definitely going to see. I’m not generally a huge fan of slapstick, but Ferrell pulls it off so well that I can’t help but smile every time.
