Without Her Kids, Brandi Glanville Isn’t Interesting Enough To Be A Full-Fledged Real Housewife

Brandi Glanville not full time Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Eddie Cibrian kidsWith filming for season 3 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills underway, Eddie Cibrian is holding ex-wife Brandi Glanville back from her dreams of being a full cast member. At least, that’s how it sounds in this Radar article about how Eddie and his new wife LeAnn Rimes won’t let his kids appear on the Bravo show often enough to help Brandi achieve the reality-TV equivalent of tenure. When Brandi was forced to tell executives that she couldn’t get her kids to be on the show full-time, they rescinded their offer.

“Bravo wanted her to have her kids on the show in order to expand story lines,” a source told Radar. “But Leann and Eddie wouldn’t allow it… Brandi didn’t expect that LeAnn and Eddie would have objections since the kids have been on the show before, but they did.” What most cracks me up about this story is that Brandi isn’t worth a spot in the opening credits without her little munchkins running around her.

I would argue this point. Even though Brandi’s son’s propensity to run around naked and pee on the grass is what first made her an enemy to Kyle Richards, Brandi hasn’t needed her kids to stir up any more drama in the intervening time. Her crutches, lack of bra, and name-calling at the season 2 reunion took care of that. The kids were a means to an end, that end being to show how much trashier Brandi is than the other Housewives. Plus, Sonja Morgan is plenty entertaining on The Real Housewives of New York, and we see her kid so infrequently I can’t remember its name or sex off the top of my head.

Since Camille Grammer got booted from full-time status, Brandi had been looking to fill her spot. But now Camille will be back shooting some “cameos” in certain episodes, putting her in the same “friend” league as the ex-Mrs. Cibrian. Watch the RHOBH credits, Brandi, and cry over what you’ll never have:
