Olay Honors Moms For Mother’s Day

We’re getting ready for Mother’s Day by reading up on all the juicy gossip about celebrity moms and moms-to-be. How will celeb supermom Angelina Jolie include her six children in her upcoming wedding? When will Jessica Simpson finally give birth? Will new mom Beyonce release any new photos of her adorable family for Mother’s Day?

But since Mother’s Day is just a few weeks away, let’s talk about something a little closer to home: your mom. Olay wants to help you honor your mom (whether she’s a celebrity or not) on her special day with a new campaign for Mother’s Day that you’re going to want to get involved in. It’s called “Beauty By Example,” and through it, Olay plans to honor one million moms by encouraging women across America to get online and share why their mothers are their ultimate beauty example. Daughters are invited to log on to www.facebook.com/Olay and sign the online declaration acknowledging their moms as their ultimate Beauty By Example. Whether it’s for her inner or outer beauty, you must admit your mom had a hand in your perception of your own beauty.

In addition, as part of the effort to recognize amazing, inspiring women everywhere, moms and daughters alike, Olay is contributing up to one million ounces of their products to Look Good, Feel Better, a national public service program dedicated to improving the self-esteem and quality of life of women undergoing treatment for cancer.

Olay has also been using the Olay Facebook page to listen to women’s wishes for their moms this Mother’s Day and to make some of those wishes come true. So far, Olay has helped a daughter reunite with her mother whom she hadn’t seen in over a year, connected a mom and daughter by donating iPads so they could videochat, and even surprised a mom with Birkenstocks to help her walk comfortably. Make sure you check out our sister site Blisstree next week to find out how else Olay is helping daughters celebrate their moms this Mother’s Day!
