We here at Crushable love pretty much everything Aubrey Plaza does. And I can’t speak for everyone, but I loved the late-90s/early 2000s TV masterpiece Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Hence, it stands to reason that when I see Aubrey Plaza do a scene from Buffy, my heart explodes with joy.
On a new episode of TVLine.com’s web show “Spoiler Alert,” Aubrey does a bit of “Retro Theater” with none other than Zach Woods (a.k.a. Gabe from The Office). The scene? A pivotal one from BTVS wherein Buffy must try to convince Angel to drink her blood, or he will die. Aubrey does an excellent job mixing in a little bit of April in with the Buffy character, and Zach’s David Boreanaz impression must be seen to be believed. (The Buffy goodness starts around 4:00.)
An equally exciting part of the interview comes when she talks a bit about her new movie, Safety Not Guaranteed, a sci-fi rom-com about time travel that will give Plaza her first starring role (out June 8!). It’s about time someone gave the talented comedienne one of those.
