So far Justin Bieber has shown his adoring public he’s pretty mature for his age. He does a lot of charity work, hasn’t pulled any stunts that involve the police, and other than some beach-side PDA even his love life with Selena Gomez looks calm.
So it’s kind of refreshing to see him act a little less than mature by taunting a woman on Twitter. Mariah Yeater has all but faded from the public consciousness, but four months ago she had beliebers everywhere up in arms by claiming Justin had fathered her baby.
The claim was false and the whole thing seemed to be settled, until last night when Justin took to Twitter to remind the world just how false Mariah’s claim was tweeting,, “Dear mariah yeeter…we have never met…so from the heart i just wanted to say… [cut to a clip of Borat chanting 'you will never get this']” While the sentiment isn’t exactly creative I will give him bonus points for creating a multi-media tweet.
So what sparked this outburst from the Biebs four months after the fact? He did post during his #randomtwitterhour which included jokes about Madagascar (the movie, not the country) and jazzercise, so maybe the jab at Mariah was just part of his stream of consciousness.
Or maybe he’s still working through some issues after his good name was smudged by the paternity accusation. Twitter taunts aren’t the adult way to handle your problems, but in this case I can sympathize with the urge to use them.
