2012's Les Miserables is based on the musical based on the Victor Hugo novel, but among the songs the story of the miserable people of 19th century France remains intact. Anne's miserable character sadly dies sick and hungry, and rumors are she's slimming down for the role with a super strict diet. Hopefully she keeps in mind that while she might have to look like she's wasting away, she still has to belt out a ballad with the energy of someone who had been well fed.
