Is Lourdes Old Enough To Be One Of Madonna’s Backup Dancers?

Madonna has reportedly hired her 15-year-old daughter Lourdes to be a back-up dancer on her upcoming tour. Is writhing around onstage in her underwear really developmentally appropriate for Madge’s raven-haired mini-me?

Answer: of course it is! This is Madonna’s kid we’re talking about. I’m pretty sure she’ll still have a solid future if she misses some school to go on a world tour. The only way she could really shock us would be to hide her cuteness behind a ponytail and glasses and announce her intention to pursue a degree in engineering.

Via The Daily Mail:

The 15-year-old will join the singer’s team of backing dancers when she kicks off her 50-country world tour in Israel in May.

‘It is the first time Lourdes will have appeared on stage with her mum,’ says a source.

It’s also a good way to prevent her daughter from upstaging her, no? God forbid Lourdes should land a Disney show and turn into the next Miley Cyrus, surpassing her mom’s (already waning) popularity among the tween set.

Then again, the quote from the “source” above is factually incorrect–Lourdes has indeed appeared onstage with her mom before–which makes me believe the entire story is fabricated. Better luck next time, pedos.
