What’s Crazier: Nicolas Cage’s Movies Or Nicolas Cage’s Real Life

The completely unnecessary sequel to Ghost Rider, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance opens this weekend and while I’m shocked it even got made,  I’m even more shocked that Nicolas Cage agreed to do it. What happened to his acting career?

Actually, what happened to his life? In the past few years it seems like he’s in some kind of competition with himself to see whether his movie choices or his life choices are crazier.

And to be completely honest with you, I’m really not sure at this point. Just when I think his latest trailer has completely outdone itself in terms of weirdness, he’s making headlines for another WTF real life incident. What is going on here and how we can possibly begin to understand Nicolas Cage’s long-term game plan?

Well for starters let’s look at his five weirdest recent movies alongside his five weirdest recent life experience. Now to make this as fair as possible, I’m going to just be pulling the IMDB.com descriptions for each movie. Those are the sanest descriptions out there and they still all sound absolutely ridiculous.

Then at the end of this wacky analysis, I’ll ask you to vote on what is crazier in the comments so we can finally put this debate to rest.

So strap on your straight jacket and get ready for a wild ride:

Nic Cage is his own man! He still goes on in the face of constant nasty mean-spirited critisism He also seems very good natured and doesn’t put people down the way he is put down. I see how uterly cruel people can be, making fun of his God-given features, his wonderful talent and his strength to keep on going while all those losers keep putting him down! They should not watch him if they don’t like him, and keep the hurtful comments to themselves. More important they should live their lives, the creapy nasty etc.
