Yesterday afternoon Kylie Jenner tweeted out a photo of her sister Khloe Kardashian with her “real” father. The photo featured Khloe Kardashian posing with Kris Jenner’s hairdresser Alex Roldan. After the Internet had a minor heart attack, Kylie followed up with the fact that the tweet was just a joke. But is a joke about an ongoing and probably very sensitive family rumor that is very possibly true really that funny?
We all know there’s never a slow day when it comes to the Kardashian news cycle. They’re a self-propelling machine of propaganda where you never know what to believe or what really matters or what Bruce Jenner really injects into this face. So either yesterday was Kylie’s assigned day to stir up trouble and drum up tabloid headline or she truly hates her sister — because I just don’t get the joke.
Despite the on going controversy that Khloe Kardashian has a different biological father than her sisters, Kris Jenner has claimed that it’s not true. Sure, her own biography included parts that strongly alluded to this, but c’mon, you can’t believe everything you read in a book. Even if that book is an autobiography. Despite Kris’s repeated statements that Robert Kardashian is Khloe’s father, the Internet’s been on a witch hunt to find Khloe’s real father and rumors have even included alleged murderer and close friend of the family, OJ Simpson.
Regardless of whether or not the paternity rumor is true doesn’t change the fact that Khloe looks different than all her sisters. Not in the way that all sisters faces naturally differ from each other, but in a way that matters in a family full of women. She’s bigger. Put her in a photo with her four sisters and her size stands out. [tagbox tag="kardashian"]
Growing up in a house full of sisters of different sizes, I know how sensitive this can be within a household. No one wants to be the fat sister, the bigger sister or even the funny sister. I can’t even tell you have many fights in my house ended with “if I’m flat, then explain why you’re fat.”
I don’t know what happened in the Kardashian household growing up, but I have a feeling sibling fights probably ended with pretty similar “you’re fat” insults. Nothing like throwing your sister’s biggest insecurities in her face during a fight to shut her up.
So I just can’t imagine that Khloe finds all this “different father” drama all that entertaining. Sure it brings home the headlines, but it also brings more attention to the fact she looks different than her sisters. Something I really can’t imagine is all that welcome in her life.
I could be totally wrong. She could have loved Kylie’s hilarious joke. But I doubt it.
