We’ve always admired iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove for having a future beyond acting, and now she’s cemented it: After deferring her acceptances to NYU and USC, she’s decided to go to the University of Southern California starting this coming fall. Class of 2016!
Earlier in this year, Miranda was experiencing a dilemma of wanting to get out of California but being too scared; she told the Post in April, “I’m checking out at the last minute. I love New York, but I’m scared to move and leave LA.” The fact that her dad is a USC graduate might have helped keep her decision firmly tied to the California school.
Miranda told Celebuzz that just because she’ll be a college freshman doesn’t mean that her acting days are over: “I deferred for a year, but I’m going to USC in the fall. I have a friend that actually went to USC and got to keep acting at the same time, and she goes back when she’s not filming, so that would be my ultimate dream. That’s what I really want to do.”
However, the extracurricular she probably won’t be partaking in is Greek life. “I don’t know!” she laughed when asked. “I can’t see myself in a sorority. I don’t know if I’m going to get there and go crazy and want to be in one [laughs]. It seems fun though. You make a lot of friends and meet new people.”
