Newt Gingrich is currently a frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination. The Joker is a fictional character created to antagonize Batman and the citizens of Gotham City. One would think it would be easy to tell their ideas apart; one would be wrong.
A new game called “Supervillain or Newt?” tests to see if people can determine the difference between ideas espoused by fictional supervillains, and those espoused by longtime politician and presidential candidate Newt Gingrich. These ideas include:
“Use a series of mirrors in space to create a sort of permanent daylight, the equivalent of many moons in strength.”
” In response to an energy crisis, create a massive disk to manipulate the power of the sun, along with a renewed focus on nuclear energy.”
Can you tell which one was Newt? It was the first one. (The second was Mr. Burns from The Simpsons, and actually seems somewhat reasonable in comparison.) What a fun game! I’m sad to report that I scored a 33%; perhaps you can do better.
