This is so bizarre. Some videos have hit the web of Justin Biel, a former employee at 901 Tequila, ragging on the brand and its owner, Justin Timberlake. By the way, JT is currently dating Justin’s sister Jessica Biel. The series of videos have the look of a viral campaign, and 901 even told TMZ that these were released prematurely before the intended late-December date.
But there’s so much vitriol in these, you have to wonder how much is Justin acting, or if there’s some protectiveness going on; after all, Jessica and JT broke up just a few months ago and are now trying things again. Justin sounds bitter and broken-down, blaming falling sales on 901′s celebrity founder, saying, “I’ve been waiting for [Timberlake] to do something with this fucking brand — make a song about it, put it in a god damn video, hold it up, take some pictures, I don’t care — just do something because we’re dying on the motherf**king vine here!”
One of the videos is posted to YouTube under “901 Disgruntled Ex-Employee,” which supports the idea that Justin Biel is more of a “character” who’s trying to draw people in. Kind of like the girl who faked quitting her job with posters, introducing a persona that consumers will want to help out rather than the big corporation or even JT himself.
According to Justin’s LinkedIn profile, he’s also been the director for the Celebrities Who Care Program at the Make The Difference Network. So his career moves seem to hang on people more famous than him putting their time and energy into noble pursuits. Whether or not the video is an attempt to go viral, it’s not surprising that he’s the one in front of the camera.
