Despite being a self-professed “stoner,” Miley Cyrus shows that she’s at least serious about LGBT rights. Several months ago she got an equal sign tattoo and tweeted the message ALL LOVE is equal. Now, she’s posing for the NOH8 campaign—which already counts among its ranks Zachary Quinto, Kim Kardashian, Pete Wentz, and more.
NOH8′s main photographer Adam Bouska posted several behind-the-scenes photos to his Facebook page and thanked Miley for her support. Interestingly, not all of the commenters were as grateful to see the “Liberty Walk” singer throwing her lot in with the campaign. One guy wrote, Wow. How can such a terrible person do such a good thing? I always thought Demi Lovato or Selena Gomez would do this first. </3
But as another Facebook user pointed out, this is a no-hate campaign, so we’ll try to also keep our snarking to a minimum. After all, there are worse things she could be doing. (Like writing an anthem for Occupy Wall Street.)
