Nicole Richie and Benji Madden have always seemed among the most stable of Hollywood couples. The pair, who have children Harlow and Sparrow together, have been dating since 2006 and tied the knot last year. So what’s the secret to their success? Is it wild romantic gestures and traipses to exotic locations? Nope, it seems to be the couple’s television. E! asked Nicole plan to spend their upcoming one-year anniversary, and here’s what she had to say:
“Well his dream day is probably watching football and playing video games, and my dream day is watching Real Housewives, so maybe that will be our one-year [celebration]. We’ll do a game in the day and then Housewives at night.”
Really, those are their dream days? I guess love comes in all shapes, sizes, and proclivities for trashing TV programming. As for Thanksgiving, the two are hosting for their two families:
“I have a big family on my side, Joel has a big family, so we’re having everybody over at my house and it’s going to be extremely chaotic but so much fun.”
