Video Gallery: Happy Birthday, Mr. Schuester!– Er, Matthew Morrison!

Ah, Glee! Who could ever forget the moment Will Schuester first discovered Rachel, Kurt, and the gang rocking “Don’t Stop Believin’’ alone in the school auditorium? And the rest, as they say…

With Leona Lewis
Back during the summer of 2010, Matthew joined Leona Lewis onstage at London’s O2 Arena for a one-off performance of “Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz. There’s nothing quite like a beautifully-sung duet, is there?

At the Grove
Matthew sang a mashup of The Police’s “Don’t Stand So Close to Me” and “Young Girl” by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap as Will Schuester in the first season of Glee. He also likes to perform it live as himself, as evinced in this clip from a free concert at the Grove in L.A. back in January.

Goin’ Solo
Because of course it was only a matter of time before he got a record deal. Matthew’s first solo album, cleverly entitled Matthew Morrison, was released in May; the first single off of it was called “Summer Rain.” Personally, I just love the fact that he’s playing the ukulele here.
