Westboro Baptist Church Picketing Steve Jobs’ Funeral Is Just Ridiculous

It’s official: The Westboro Baptist Church is nothing but a bunch of attention-seeking assholes. Why else would they jump on Steve Jobs‘ death? Mere hours after Steve’s passing, Fred Phelps‘ daughter Margie Phelps took to Twitter to announce that WBC will be picketing Steve’s funeral. Their reasoning? He served himself, not God; and “he had a huge platform,” which probably means that they consider his worldwide influence as a way that he used to disseminate his sinful ways. Or something. It’s bullshit.

A small consolation: Twitter noted that Margie’s tweet came from her iPhone, so at least we can add “hypocrite” to the list of insults about these insane cultists. (Margie’s defense: Rebels mad cuz I used iPhone to tell you Steve Jobs is in hell. God created iPhone for that purpose! …That doesn’t even make sense!)
