Aww — here’s Neil Patrick Harris and partner David Burtka posing with Neil’s Walk of Fame star, which was unveiled yesterday in Hollywood. It sounds like it was a really lovely ceremony: Neil signed copies of the Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog companion guide for eager fans, drew a handlebar mustache on one fan’s face, and celebrated his long career in TV, film, and Broadway.
Plus, he had some very swanky supporters: Joss Whedon and How I Met Your Mother co-star Jason Segel spoke about working with him. When introducing Neil, Jason joked, “Neil has been entertaining us in television, stage, the Internet, and film for over 60 years.”
Neil also cracked some jokes, especially about the star’s placement in front of a well-known dive bar: “As much of an honor as this is, unfortunately, it won’t be the first time I’ve been plastered on the sidewalk in front of the Frolic Room. And yes, that includes right now. Happy hour starts early in there.”
