There really is no such thing as job security: HuffPo is reporting that this very morning, Bravo gave the pink slip to three stars of its series The Real Housewives of New York City: Alex McCord, Jill Zarin, and Kelly Bensimon. This makes some sense, since a) the last season was really lagging, with the women rehashing the same old shit; and b) LuAnn de Lesseps allegedly said that they’d be adding three new women to the cast. Out with the old, huh?
The best part is how Bravo told them: By contacting them directly this morning and flat-out firing them.
No, wait. The actual best part is that Cindy Barshop – last season’s new addition, who turned out to be crude and dull — seems to have also gotten fired, but no one made a big hubbub about it! That leaves the final count as Brunette LuAnn versus Blondes Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan – although maybe they’ll stop drawing party lines over hair color in order to create a united front against the new cast members.
It’ll be kind of awkward when they all still show up to the same parties though, right? You know they’ll be there: The Powers That Be at Bravo told the girls they might get reinstated if none of the newbies work out.
