5 Facts About Emma Watson’s Maybe-Boyfriend Johnny Simmons

Emma Watson was recently spotted hanging out with her Perks of Being a Wallflower co-star Johnny Simmons in LA. They kissed, which seems to suggest some sort of on-set romance, but she still denies that anything is going on. Regardless, Johnny is one of those faces you’re starting to see around Hollywood more and more, so whether Emma or another starlet snatches him up, you’ll want to know who he is.

His idea of a date is a nice hike.

This isn’t the first time Johnny and Emma have been photographed together in sweatpants and sneakers: Earlier this summer they were seen hitting the trail together, which is how the rumors started. Because young Hollywood can be photographed together at parties and have it mean nothing, but there’s gotta be some realness to it if you’re roughing it.

He and Emma are a good match, astrologically.

She’s an Aries and he’s a Sagittarius, which means they both share a fiery nature and the tendency to throw teasing barbs at each other. However, it should be noted that two of the major celebrity couples who share their signs didn’t make it: Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, and Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal.

He was in the recent documentary Journey to Sundance.

The doc, which came out this year, focused on indie filmmakers trying to get their movies made. We’re assuming that Johnny appeared in it due to The Perks of Being a Wallflower; other celebrities featured were Jennifer Aniston, Javier Bardem, and Vin Diesel.

He’s a normal teenage boy.

This video from the Jennifer’s Body press junket in 2009 is hilarious, because at around 1:40 you watch Megan Fox and Johnny try to compare which of them had a trickier love scene with Amanda Seyfried. Johnny doesn’t quite answer Megan’s question (“on a scale of 1-10…”), and she gets pissed. Megan’s obviously been spending too much time with older guys.

His next project is The To-Do List.

Remember Maggie Carey‘s eagerly-anticipated script about a high school valedictorian (Aubrey Plaza) who hooks up with guys in order to become more sexually experienced for college? Johnny plays Cameron, the protagonist’s nerdy best friend, and one of the guys on her list. We can already guess that whichever sex act she tries out on him will mean a lot more to him than it does to her.
