In the September issue of Architectural Digest, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith will let the world in on a little secret: their home is ridiculous. Maybe that’s not exactly a revelation, but did anybody (besides their architect, designers, and friends) imagine it would be a magnificent palace? Well, yes, probably.
Located in Southern California near Calabasas, this place looks like a cross between a fancy Cancun resort and Monet’s garden at Giverny. The 25,000 square-foot mansion is hand-made top-to-bottom and boasts nine bedrooms, a meditation room, a lake, basketball and tennis courts, three golf holes and (hopefully) a sanctuary for endangered, flightless birds.
With their own personal paradise, it’s no wonder the Smiths are all so productive. The vast open spaces and scenic wonders lend themselves nicely to creative projects (such as convincing producers to pay little Jaden $3 million for his third movie EVER). It also doesn’t hurt that there’s a recording studio on site, presumably so that Willow can lay down a track for every haircut she gets.
In the end, Will and Jada definitely have it all worked out. They love each other, are talented, rich, beautiful and, above all, have highly marketable children.
Oh, and a bedroom terrace:
