Major #whitegirlproblem here, guys: I knew I had to watch this Avengers teaser so I could post it for you, but I had wanted to wait to see it at the Captain America screening tomorrow night. But I sucked it up and watched the video, just for you. It’s grainy quality, but you can definitely tell what’s going on. Quick, watch it before it gets pulled!
Samuel L. Jackson continues to pad his IMDb page with thirty-second appearances in every Marvel movie of the last few years, but what’s an extra treat is that there’s already a short teaser for The Avengers itself, even though Joss Whedon kicked off filming just a few months ago. This is harder to keep track of, but we know that the major players all appear: Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson (I saw her red hair).
I could also glimpse Cobie Smulders as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, and someone who, judging from the camera angles, looks like the villain — problem was, he was wreathed in shadow. Rumor has the Skrulls will be the big threat, so it could’ve been one of them.
Great comment from a foreign YouTuber:
Why the hell do people in other countries cheer and clap during films? Yeah this was cool but how about trying to watch it? Is it an American thing?
