Nathan Fillion Has Been Immortalized as a Comic Book Character Four Times

To continue driving viewers to Castle, ABC has rolled out another novelization of one of Rick Castle’s (Nathan Fillion)’s books, but this time it’s in graphic novel form. Castle: Richard Castle’s Deadly Storm will focus on Castle’s first big hero, Derrick Storm. As of the pilot, Castle kills off his hero because “there were no surprises left” in the character or the story, but this tale seems to be set earlier in the canon.

If Richard Castle himself makes an appearance in the comic — written by veteran Brian Michael Bendis and Kelly Sue DeConnick, and illustrated by FablesLan Medina – then it will mark the fourth time that one of Fillion’s characters has been turned into a comic book hero or villain.
