On the heels of the latest Real Housewives of New Jersey drama (Joe Giudice being arrested and charged with wrongfully using identifying information of another person and forgery, as a result of him allegedly fraudently obtaining a New Jersey license, under his brother’s name while his own license was suspended), even more new details about the Dominican Republic brawl have come out.
As I previously reported, the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars and their husbands were on a filmed trip to the D.R. and were partying at the Hard Rock Hotel when a fight reportedly broke out between the reality TV stars and other bar patrons. Joe Giudice, Caroline Manzo’s sons, Albie and Chris, and their roommate, Gregory Bennett, were detained at the airport when the tried to fly home from the D.R., and were questioned by police. The police said that they did not yet know what caused the fight, but the two other bar patrons involved in the fight, Americans Adolfo Ariolla and Jason Gomez, both had fractures in their arms and legs. No charges were filed against the Real Housewives of New Jersey men, and they were able to fly home a few days later.
Now, we have even more details about the D.R. brawl. According to Perez Hilton, the fight began when Teresa Giudice was punched in the face. The fight allegedly began when Teresa sprayed champagne on a woman at the bar, and her husband became angry and punched Teresa. A Perez Hilton source said that Teresa had sprayed the champagne accidentally. The source went on to say, “Joe, Albie, and Chris were trying to protect Teresa, and they just grabbed the guy and started fighting, and then people joined in. Bravo helped to break up the fight. Everyone was involved. It became a massive scene.”
Apparently, the punch and susbsequent fight are now non-issues, because lawyers privately settled things between the two parties. The footage reportedly will not be shown in the upcoming season, which is ok, because at least we have the brawl at the Christening to occupy ourselves.
