That being said, her manager Johnny Wright rips her a new one for the pictures and stays with the party line: “you’re trying to be an artist, not a celebrity. ARTIST. “ I really am beginning to wonder who is the perfect “artist” to him.
Wright, always the tough guy, tells our dear Barbie blonde that she has a gig in 72 hours, a three song showcase that will be the first time she performs solo. Naturally Aubrey is nervous and (aside from making out with her roomie) she hasn’t had action which means she hasn’t released her tension. “It’s a sin to look this good and have no man” — her words not mine. Soon, we see Aubrey getting her workout on. To her credit, she is looking slimmer, which I’m sure makes her feel better after all the attacks on her weight.
Two highlights of this week’s episode:
1. Perez Hilton came to the house and interviewed her. The two were quite “real” with each other. Aubrey told him “I don’t like when you call me a slut, you don’t know me” and Hilton hit right back with “you do trashy photo spreads – I call it like I see it.” The convo was blunt, real, and ballsy. I give credit to Aubrey for sitting there and telling him her side, and I give him credit for not faking it and for telling her she look like a slut so she will be written about as a slut.
2. Aubrey has a G-Hub…yea. A gay husband. (Don’t we all?) Too bad her G-Hub can’t have a life. While he is off traveling and maintaining his career, Aubrey feel deserted. She needs “her attention,” and at the moment her numero uno G-Hub is her hairdresser Caesar. Of course Jason her original G-Hub is upset he’s getting replaced, not that his friend isn’t being loyal.
Scandal alert! When Aubrey is deciding what to wear for her performance, of course Jason and Caesar don’t agree on anything, and roll their eyes at each other while Aubrey ignores it all and stares at herself. So, what happens? Jason is mucho mad, and while Aubry walks him to the door he reacts with “ Caesar does hair, let him do hair, not fashion, ugh. He’s too much.” Blondie’s response? “You’re too much.”
Throughout this while G-Hub debacle we are getting snippets of another relationship. Stephanie and Sean are on the brink and I am shocked are still together. However, they seem to be falling apart. (Cue the next episode where they call it quits and Stephanie will be single and Aubrey will get her trashed enough to hook up with some C List celebrity. I’m thinking Spencer Pratt.)
Aubrey’s performance went pretty well. I have to say, the songs – or what we heard of them – aren’t terrible. They’re actually catchy. At the end of the day, she may be crazy, but she’s still more relatable than a lot of the trashy girls on TV. At least for now.
