Knut the Polar Bear: A Retrospective

The world lost one of its great animal superstars on Saturday when Knut the Polar Bear collapsed in his enclosure at the Berlin Zoo. Though polar bears can live for up to 30 years in capitivity, Knut was only four years old at the time of his death. We watched this remarkable bear as he grew from tiny little cub to fearsome adult, and he will be sorely missed. Here, we remember Knut.
