In Michel Gondry‘s 2008 film Be Kind Rewind, Jack Black and Mos Def must recreate classic films like Ghostbusters and Driving Miss Daisy after accidentally erasing an entire video store’s worth of VHS tapes. The movie also coined the term for what has become a beloved gesture made by fans: “Sweding”, or remaking an entire film in a single edit. CollegeHumor’s new sketch (written by my friend Ben Joseph) has special guest stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, of the upcoming alien adventure-comedy Paul, decide to swede Star Wars: A New Hope. The problem is, they can only make it through one scene.
