PLEASE, ANDY COHEN, DON'T BRING IT BACK! I love watching Real Housewives and I watched every episode of the D.C. season, but it's nowhere near as good as any of the other cities. Where are the hot, funny, self-indulgent ladies on this show?! Who wants to hear about politics when you're trying to watch a reality show? It got a little bit like Real Housewives of New Jersey towards the end; it was everyone against Michaele. Additionally, the only likable one of the bunch (for me) was Stacie. I am not feeling D.C. and don't want to see it again.
I will admit that when I began to see commercials for Real Housewives of Orange County again, I was less than thrilled. The show was beginning to be tired and, honestly, it was a bit depressing seeing all these formerly new-moneyed families succumbing to the effects of the economy and the bursting real estate bubble. And some of the additions over the years were bad (anyone remember Quinn?) However, I think injecting a little new blood into the series is bound to spice it up. Even though Vicki's the only remaining original member, other newbies, like Tamra and Gretchen, are beginning to feel like oldies, too. I also think that the dissolution of Vicki's marriage and Tamra's newfound love will make the show exciting again.
I am so excited for Real Housewives of New York City to return! Last season, we saw many changes in the cast: a newly-divorced LuAnn, a newly engaged and pregnant Bethenny, and the collapse of Bethenny and Jill's friendship, to name a few. I was very upset to learn that Bethenny decided to leave the show, because she was the funniest and sharpest one on in the cast. However, as I've previously said, the housewives have plenty of drama without Bethenny. The addition of Sonja last season made sense: she was a wealthy (or so we thought) divorcee living the fabulous life. I am also so glad they didn't bring Jennifer Gilbert back; what were they even thinking? She was a total yawn. I don't know too much about Cindy Barshop, but I hope she adds to the drama.
I have mixed feelings about Atlanta. When it first came out, I was obsessed with it. I was enthralled by NeNe and loved watching the drama with her, Kim, and Sheree. However, this season I just wasn't feeling the love for Atlanta. I'm not sure what the show needs; I thought Phaedra and Cynthia were very entertaining to watch but somehow the show didn't do it for me this season. Although I will say that I'm glad they got rid of Lisa; she was so boring and too nice. Maybe it's just me, but I would rather watch only NeNe, Kim, and Sheree over any of the other cast members.
The first time I saw a commercial for the Real Housewives of New Jersey, I knew it would be genius. The cast was amazing (although it's frightening that there are actually people out there who are like Danielle Staub). Season two started out good but sucked towards the end. I felt like saying, "We get it; everyone hates Danielle and Danielle hates everyone." The encounters between Danielle and the Manzo/Giudice clique seemed too forced. I was upset to hear Danielle was leaving the show, until I heard Teresa's sister-in-law was joining. Bravo really knows what they are doing; Teresa and her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, apparently can't stand one another and there have already been a bunch of fights between the two reported. (Did anyone hear about the Christening incident?) Kathy Wakile, Teresa's cousin, is also rumored to join the cast. I can't wait to see what Teresa's family is really like. I have a feeling this season is going to be awesome.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Bravo, for redeeming yourself after D.C. and bringing us Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It's a wonder that they didn't think of this city sooner, because it just made so much sense: beautiful women, luxurious lifestyles, comic relief, and cat-fighting. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills quickly became one of my favorite of the whole Real Housewives franchise. The ladies produced such an extraordinary show that it was as if they were acting the part out. Lisa's wittiness= brilliant. Kim and Kyle - hello, they're Paris' aunts! The drama between delusional Camille and Kyle was perfect. I give this show an A and hope that any other future cities follow suit.
