Wednesday mornings can be hard to overcome, what with three whole days ahead of us before the weekend. But this morning was lightened for us by a bright and shiny press release in our inbox, titled “Gwyneth Paltrow Shares Special Thoughts about The Hamptons.”
What amazing goodness could possibly follow? Oh, just Gwyneth Gwyneth discussing “why the Hamptons is so special to her and her family.” But that’s not all! Some Swiss people shipped Gwynie straight to Geneva to bring her easy, breazy beautiful cover girl status to their fair country. Replete with an imported “Hamptons” house and giant sand castles indoors! Check out the whole video, after the jump.
Also, this is the press release that just keeps on giving:
“While most people in the Tri-State area are confronted with an icy cold winter, Gwyneth Paltrow reminded hundreds of people (journalists, celebrities, luminaries, etc) why The Hamptons is such a special place to her and her family, especially during the summer.
The actress spoke at the opening day (Jan. 18, 2011) of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) — also known as the International Fair of Fine Luxury Watchmaking — in Geneva. Baume & Mercier hosted an exclusive event and showcased their collection in a custom made ‘Hamptons’ house. 950 guests were invited to a spectacular garden party on the custom made beach – specially built for the event — using 75 to ns of sand and 800-square meters of grass.”
In the video, Gwyneth describes the Hamptons as a “very special corner of the earth,” and generally sounds like a super silly rich lady. Granted, it’s not really her fault. If somebody offered to fly me to Geneva and tell me I was amazing, I’d go too. And I wouldn’t look nearly as lovely in the cute pink dress I’d pick out for the occasion.
