5 Facts About 16 And Pregnant’s Kayla Jordan

Yet another 16 And Pregnant star got engaged on the show last night, leading us to believe that the producers severely want to bring back Engaged And Underage. This time it was Kayla Jordan, an Alabama native with a high school graduate for a baby daddy. J.R. had skipped college to work in a garage. Does their relationship qualify as statutory rape? Let’s find out!

1. Kayla is was a beauty pageant contestant

At the beginning of her episode last night, Kayla explained that she had to give up her pageant career when she got pregnant.  Except she didn’t really get the hint. During the episode she notices that the pageant website where she’s competed in the past has a clause preventing mothers from being contestants.

But calls them up anyway, to get rejected directly over the phone. It’s rather sad.

2. She loves horses. Maybe too much.

Throughout her episode, Kayla made her love of horses more than clear. It was a point of contention in her relationship, since her boyfriend J.R. would not ride.

But after Kayla had her son Rylan, she decided to get him acclimated to horses early, and tried taking him on a ride. Watching a woman with a baby strapped to her chest get on a horse is one of the more stressful things I’ve seen on 16 And Pregnant. He almost got smushed!

3. Kayla loves to shoot guns

On her episode, a very pregnant Kayla went shooting with J.R. And from Formspring:

How good of a shot would you say you are? Are you better than J.R. or either of your parents? When will you start letting Rylan shoot?

I am by no means a professional or even good for that matter, but that day I hit the bulls eye and J.R. didn’t. Just saying… Haha! And I will. When hes old enough and responsible enough to handle a gun.

Also, she does not appreciate PETA enthusiasts talking smack to her about hunting. Here’s her response to a Formspring question along those lines:

I honestly don’t know you so I don’t know if you are ignorant or what, but this was a very ignorant comment. First off it was a target not an animal, secondly no animal is going to come aroud with a whole crew around, third how in the hell do you think people made a living before they had people to kill their animals for them? By hunting. That comment was so ignorant that it sounds like you just looked for the first thing to grip about and went for it. Do you eat meat? If so then you must be a murderer as well… Do you drive a car? You do!! Oh noo!!! You are killing the O’zone! People a lot of things for selfish reasons. I was raised eating deer meat and I LOVE it. And I am not the only one. I promise there are a lot worse thing that I could do.
