There are SO many crazee things we can do with our vaginas these days: Vajazzle, Va-ttoo. you name it.
Now this: Vagina Fitness. Blisstree’s Briana Rognlin explores this curious trend, writing, “We rolled our eyes at first, too, but it turns out that ‘pelvic fitness’ training can help you have better, less painful sex and regulate your urinary tract better (read: not pee all the time).” Says Briana:
Don’t have a budget for vaginal fitness? Try this exercise, as described by Lauri Romanzi, M.D. for Glamour:
- Lay down with your hips propped on a pillow, pull your knees up, and use a mirror to monitor “down there.”
- Try closing your vaginal opening by pulling in and up with your pelvic floor muscles, not your thighs.
- Watch for correct technique by making sure your perineum, the skin between your anus and vagina, looks like it’s retracting.
Once you get it all working down there, try holding the contraction for five seconds, then releasing, and repeating it ten times in a row, three times a day.
Well then! We learn something new every day, specifically about our vaginas. Does Tracy Anderson have a class for this? Probably. This is something Madonna would totes be really into.
