Edward Norton is apparently not enough of a “team player” to continue working in the comic book movie industries, at least according to Marvel Studios, who decided not to have the Academy Award winner reprise his role as Bruce Banner after 2008s The Incredible Hulk. Instead, the new Avengers movie, in which all our favorite superheroes from the Marvel Universe team up, is finishing up the negotiations to have The Kids Are All Right star Mark Ruffalo in the role.
Oh, did we mention that Joss Whedon will be directing? And that Robert Downey Jr. is going to kick-ass as Iron Man? And there’s even rumors that Hurt Locker‘s Jeremy Renner may still have a chance to be in the film (after losing out the role of Captain America to Chris Evans) as the arrow-shooting Hawkeye. We seriously can’t wait.
