Universal Studios in Orlando may have taken their sweet time in creating its mini-park based around the zeitgeist kids books-cum-films, but now that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter has finally opened its magic gates to the public, the first thing they get is a bomb threat? Laaaame.
We suspect an irate fan that was pissed that Universal took 9 years after the first movie to create this magical universe, and at this point Universal will be lucky to squeeze in five years of rabid fandom out of the park. Why didn’t they capitalize on this when the first film came out, like they did with that Jurassic Park safari? We know Rome didn’t get built in a day, but a little under a decade for a shrine to a series that’s basically been overshadowed by Twilight? Actually, maybe it was a park exec that made the “vague bomb threat,” hoping to recoup some of his losses, Producers-style.
