‘Never Let Me Go’ Was World’s Saddest Book, To Be Made Into World’s Saddest Trailer

If you like your melodrama all Victorian and creepy like Henry James‘s Turn Of The Screw, then you are probably already a huge fan of Kazuo Ishiguro‘s Never Let Me Go, about a girl growing up in a “special” type of boarding school where creativity is rewarded of smarts, and mysteries abound about who…or what…these children are.

Well, now there’s a movie of it, starring Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightley, and directed by Mark Romanek. Mark’s main work consists of music videos and the movie One Hour Photo, so we’re hoping that the heavy lifting can be done by Carey and Keira. After all, Keira looks great period pieces, and Carey? Well she’s actually just a good actress.
