Leave it up to Real Housewives of New York City‘s Kelly Bensimon to create a whole new category for her meltdown on last week’s episode. After unleashing her full-force crazy on co-stars Bethenny Frankel, Alex McCord, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan in the Virgin Islands – which included some sort of delusional break from reality wherein she was besties with Gwyneth Paltrow – Kelly has now spun her story into that of an emotionally cathartic event and sold the story to People:
“It was a nervous breakthrough…I learned don’t do it. Don’t be around people who don’t like you. I will never engage them like that ever again. I learned my lesson, as should everyone.”
Ah yes, the nervous breakthrough. Just like Will Hunting. In that case, she should be thanking Bethenny et al. for ganging up on her, right? Nope.
“It was four people against one. I go on this trip, I’m trying to be open. I have no expectations. I’m trying to be nice to these women who clearly don’t like me. But the minute I got on the trip, they went after me. It was constant….But this is not a situation where you can leave. You have to stay and you have to police them otherwise then you’re not a part of what’s going on and then they go off.”
If only someone had been there to tell Kelly that she, in fact, didn’t have to be there to have the rest of the group shit on her. YOU HAVE TO GET OFF THE ISLAND, KELLY!
