Now that ABC, Fox and NBC have announced their fall line-ups, we’ve sorted through everything and found a handful of shows that you should keep your eye on. Some of our favorites are returning to TV, including Ugly Betty‘s Becki Newton, Adrienne Palicki from Friday Night Lights and the hysterical Will Arnett, who is reuniting with Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz.
ABC: Modern Family, Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters are among the shows that will be back this fall, along with a slew of new comedies and dramas. We’re most intrigued by Better Together, which focuses on the two differing relationships of two sisters, one of which is played by Privileged‘s Joanna Garcia, who you may also recognized from guest stints on Gossip Girl and How I Met Your Mother. Another one to watch is My Generation, which catches up with a group of high school students 10 years after their graduation to see how they succeeded in achieving all the hopes and dreams they had way back then — or not. The cast includes True Blood‘s Mehcad Brooks and Jaime King.
NBC: Law & Order might be gone, and Parks and Recreation shelved until midseason, but favorites like 30 Rock, The Office and Community will be back, along with midseason replacement Parenthood. Of the new shows we’re excited about, Ugly Betty‘s Becki Newton and My Boys‘s Jordana Spiro will be starring in Love Bites, an hour-long show that features “three loosely connected, modern stories of love, sex, marriage and dating,” made up of multiple vignettes. Guest stars will include favorites like Jason Lewis, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Greg Grunberg, Craig Robinson, Lindsay Price, Charlyne Yi and Kyle Howard. And we’ll probably be checking out Law & Order: Los Angeles, too.
Fox: Glee is moving to 8 pm on Tuesdays, and it will be followed by two promising shows: Raising Hope, featuring 25-year-old newcomer Lucas Neff as a guy trying to raise a newborn because his baby mama is on death row, and Running Wilde, from the creator of Arrested Development, which is starring Will Arnett and Keri Russell. That one is going on our DVR right now. Friday Night Lights‘ Adrienne Palicki is also part of the cast of the soapy drama Lonestar. Seems like that girl can’t get out of Texas!
What are you most looking forward to?
