Recently, a guy who did me wrong, very wrong, asked me to grab a drink. Yeap, that ex-boyfriend who sent me the text message on Valentine’s Day followed it up nearly two months later with a request to see me at some future date. Thankfully, he gave me a few weeks to mull over my decision, and I’ve been doing some mulling.
Although my gut reaction is to say yes and see this guy, just out of curiosity, I can’t help but weigh my curiosity against all the bad things he’s done to me. He made me feel bad about myself, like I was less than. And worse than that, he cheated, lied and broke my heart. I have no desire to ever date him again or even be his friend. A meeting would simply be to catch up, say hello and maybe trade some business tips. I did date him for several years, so I’m curious about what he’s been up to, how his family is and what he wants to see me about. But curiosity kills cats, right? It might kill me, too. Have you ever had an opportunity to reconnect with an ex? What decision did you make? Take our poll and let me know what you did, and what I should do.
