Here’s what we learned from Braveheart: the Scots are crazy. And last night’s annual Dressed to Kilt event, organized by Sean Connery‘s non-profit Friends of Scotland, proved nothing less. The Glenfiddich was flowing, celebs strutted the runway in plaid and kilts of all designs and styles, there was raucous music, lots of inappropriate lifting of kilts and tons of making out — women and men, men and men and some women and women. Sir Sean, Donald Trump and Melania presided over the whole affair from the sidelines, and proceeds of the event went to benefit the Paralyzed Veterans of America and its Scottish equivalent, the Erskine Hospital of Scotland, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
Among the stars who walked the catwalk were Real Housewife Kelly Bensimon, Kellie Pickler, Mike Myers, gold medal speed skater Shani Davis, Scottish actress Louise Linton, Alan Cumming, Matthew Modine, Kyle MacLachlan and Joan Jett (who brought the house down).
