Another day, another crazy Lindsay Lohan story. Today, there’s news that Lindz is suing E-Trade for using the common name “Lindsay” in their recent commercial. The suit seemed suspect to us, so we called Lindsay’s publicist, Leslie Sloane-Zelnik at BWR Public Relations for comment, and learned that the actress is currently “on hiatus” with the power publicist. Well, that explains a lot.
Leslie is one of the most feared publicists in the biz — some might call her the Miranda Priestly of PR — but she gets the job done. Under her watch, her clients seem so much less crazy than they do when left to their own devices. Take Lindsay for example. In the past week alone she’s been booted from her artistic adviser job at Ungaro and been photographed all over Paris Fashion Week, where she was denied entrance at the Dior show. She also tried DJing in London with rumored bf DJ Gareth Geno and she revealed she’s writing a memoir. And now, this crazy lawsuit comes to light. Lindsay needs someone to take control of her image, stat.
So the question is, how long before Linday hits rock bottom and will Leslie be there to pick up the pieces? Leslie’s client roster has included some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Britney Spears, although the two haven’t worked together for years. Leslie might be able to help get Lindsay back in shape, if the girl wants to be helped, and if she doesn’t make too much of a mess of her life before then.
