Jumpsuits Continue To Be Designed

Like ‘em or not, jumpsuits are still happening. And believe it or not, some styles are actually wearable AND cute in a casual-street-earth mama kind of way.

Last night, we spotted a navy blue jumpsuit on singer Corinne Bailey Rae at her concert in downtown Manhattan. She wore a gray tank top underneath and barely any jewelry: the look was simple, earthy and effortlessly cool. We were inspired. But we also wondered: was sinewy, athletic Corinne possibly the only woman who can pull off this trend?

Then we remembered sage advice onpassed from all beloved style gurus from Tim Gunn to  Stacy London: It’s all about How You Wear It.

Beyonce would wear hers with heels, gold hoops and a gazillion-dollar bag. Kate Bosworth might sport a black version with gladiator heels and a dainty gold chain. Mariah Carey would custom-design a Hello Kitty print, spritzed with her marshmallow-scented namesake fragrance.

So fear not, jumpsuit-phobics, J.Crew has a chic neutral version we’d wear to dinner, the beach or even the office (with sensible shoes, of course).

Let’s throw it back: how would you interpret this trend? Share your thoughts — and pictures! — below.
