Carrie Underwood filming “Soul Surfer” movie in Hawaii

I hope that Carrie Underwood got to have a relaxing Valentine’s Day with her fiance because on Friday and Saturday she was really busy!

On both the 12th and 13th of February Carrie was seen in Hawaii where she was filming her debut movie Soul Surfer. Carrie is breaking into the acting business by filming the story of Bethany Hamilton, a young surfer who lost her arm after being attacked by a shark when she was only 13 years old.

I guess if you have to work all weekend, doing it on a beach in Hawaii is a pretty good way to go about it, right? On Saturday she was also interviewed about the movie by Entertainment Tonight.

Carrie isn’t the only Idol alumni to try her hand at acting; several others have made the move to television (such as Chris Daughtry quite recently), stage (Clay Aiken and Fantasia Barrino come immediately to mind), and probably most notably Jennifer Hudson who won an Oscar for film acting. I wonder how this will end? Are you excited to see Carrie Underwood in a movie?
