“Sin City 2″ Will Start Production In 2010

Saks Fifth Avenue Celebrates The New Third Floor

Rejoice, comic nerds (I mean this in the best possible way!) and Alexis Bledel (Rory on Gilmore Girls) fans: producer Stephen L’Heureux has revealed that the highly-anticipated Sin City 2 will begin production in the second half of 2010. If you’ll recall, Alexis Bledel, who played Becky in the film, gave an interview earlier this year revealing that her character was in the script for the sequel, even though her character was killed in the first Sin City. It’s possible that the film’s events will actually consist of things that happened before the events of Sin City making it a prequel as suggested by film blog Screenrant.

Sin City 2 will be co-directed with Robert Rodriguez, just like the first, but unlike that film, Sin City 2 will be based on an original script by Sin City creator Frank Miller. L’Heureux also revealed why it has taken 4 years for the film to get made. It’s because Alexis and her co-stars are just way too busy:

As simple as ‘Sin City’ seems, it’s a very complex scheduling with all these actors and it’s a very demanding shoot to be on a sound stage all day long,”

Are you excited for Sin City 2? Did you like Alexis’s turn in the original Sin City?

Who are you calling comic nerds!?!
Sorry, someone who runs fan web sites should know better than to call people nerds.

YES! Alexis would really be a very BUSY gal till 2010.
More movies for Alexis means more Alexis visible sightings… really awesome!

I wish/hope that Alexis would be put now on the “top” female lead as it seems that Jessica Alba is not on the shortlist cast anymore. IMO, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson & Alexis turned out to be the most popular SC gals back in 2005.

      @ Rejoice, comic nerds…
Well if anyone could care to know, those Twilight fanatics are often been called “Twi-Hards or even Twi-Tards” – just sayin’…

Wonder Y, it’s actually a term of endearment because as you pointed out, I run fan websites. I also read comics myself. I’m sorry if it offended you.
