Press Release for Medium Episode 6×03 “Pain Killer”

20090607_nan_k03_052.jpgI feel like it’s taken us so long to get to the premiere, that I’ve forgotten that there are actually going to be more than two episodes. In fact, we’ve gotten the press release for episode 3! Martha Plimpton, who recently guest-starred on the season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy, is in this episode, playing a friend of Allison’s who has a brain tumor (you know, I’ve only been to Arizona once, but the amount of brain tumors that people on this show seem to be afflicted with don’t exactly make me want to head back).

There’s also stuff with Joe’s job, which I know will make all of you super-happy! I’m just excited that it’s directed by Tate Donovan. I haven’t heard much from him since The O.C., so I’m interested to see what he’s doing now.

WHEN ALLISON’S CANCER-STRICKEN FRIEND DIES SUDDENLY, SHE SUSPECTS THAT A HOSPITAL STAFF MEMBER, AND NOT THE WOMAN’S ILLNESS, IS TO BLAME, ON “MEDIUM,” FRIDAY, OCT. 9 DIRECTED BY:  Tate Donovan

“Pain Killer” – A cancer-stricken friend of Allison’s dies suddenly, leading her to suspect the woman’s illness did not kill her and that a hospital staffer is to blame.  And, Joe takes cues from a story Bridgette wrote when it eerily echoes his latest job interview, on MEDIUM, Friday, Oct. 9 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Nansee, yep it was a pretty rubbish attempt at one, it made Winona Ryder’s attempt look good and that’s saying something! Not as bad as some, Kevin Costner I’m talking about you.

I’m looking forward to watching the third episode of this season. I like how they squeezed in a friend for Allison, although it’s too bad that she dies in that episode! ~ I wish for a small, recurring story line that they bring in a friend for Allison, hopefully another girl, who knows everything about her and totally believes in everything she says and helps her through many challenges that Joe doesn’t. Because we all know he thinks in logic first, doubting what Allison saw in her dream. I want someone for Allison who will be in, you know, in one or two episodes a month to befriend her and hang out together. I think that would be great for Allison, just a little side story line.

I’m also looking forward to the rest of the episodes this season, it sounds to be a very promising season, like always :) I CAN’T wait to see the Halloween episode. I wonder what crime will tie into her dreams about zombies. Oh and I’m totally buying the fifth season tomorrow!! It comes out on DVD

      I agree with you Michael

Yes it is funny (not really) that Allison finally finds a friend and then she dies. I always thought Allison should have a friend. Most people have a good friend in real life.

They should make her become better friends with Scanlon’s girlfriend Lynn. She has always been supportive of Allison while Scanlon was Skeptical and not answering Allison’s phone calls.

Since Lynn is a new mom Allison could give her parenting advice and help to babysit and Lynn could just listen to Allison vent. Allison and Joe are experiencing some tension in the marraige since the stroke and Allison could use a friend to talk to and help her through the challenges.
