Skyy Vodka had some great video footage of Brad Pitt on the “blue carpet” and at the afterpartyfor the Los Angeles premiere of Inglourious Basterds earlier this month and they were hoping I’d share it with you.
Well of course I would, because I know you would all enjoy it!
I’ve said it before but it bears saying again – I love Brad Pitt’s sense of humor. Sometimes it’s raunchy and sometimes it’s really dry. In this video we see the dry humor – they asked Brad how he felt to be a part of such a huge international project and he grinned and said, “I didn’t really care for it.” He joked that he prefers to stick to his own kind and that he doesn’t like to venture out of his own neighborhood. Ha!
I liked, as well, what Michael Fassbender said about how Quentin Tarantino had French people speaking French and German people speaking German. I know it’s easier to just film an English movie completely in English but it’s much more realistic (and interesting for me) to have people speaking their proper language, using subtitles.
Of course Brad joked further saying, “Some of these people don’t even speak English! It pisses me off, how are you supposed to communicate?” He is so funny!
It was really interesting to hear Tarantino saying he finished writing the script on July 2nd, 2008 and Inglourious Basterds is now in theaters, just over a month after the one-year anniversary of that date. That’s amazing because some projects feel like they take forever from concept to script to shooting to premiere time. I’ve always said Tarantino is a kick-ass film maker, this only proves it!
There’s also some footage of the after-party – I think it’s cute that they served cocktails called “The Tarantini”! Unfortunately, it’s mostly still shots, but I guess that an after-party is meant to have a bit more privacy than a red carpet event.
