Three more videos from the BAFTA Awards

I found three more videos to share with you from the BAFTA Awards show.

The first clip demonstrated that interviewing is not everyone’s best skill, but to be fair to the poor guy, it was raining, you get very little time to talk to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and there’s a lot of noise. Still, he sounded a little awkward and both Brad and Angie seemed a bit confused, especially when the guy thought that they wouldn’t be sticking around for the ceremony after Angelina said they were leaving that night. However, she did mention that they had taken Zahara and Shiloh for tea and scones to give them a nice British experience. They come in around 1:41.

The second interviewer wasn’t much better, to be honest, but it did have a very cute moment at the end when she asked each of them a question that had been sent in by school children. She asked Brad what the best way was to keep warm, and he put an arm around Angelina and said, “Grab your loved one!” to which the interviewer laughed and said the kid who asked the question was only six!

And you know, why do so many people ask the same question? You almost always hear every nominee being asked, “are you excited to be nominated, are you happy you were nominated?” etcetera. I mean really, that’s such a weird question. Do they think someone might say, “no, not really” or what?

In the final video clip, it’s actually inside the ceremony and while Mick Jagger is presenting an award, he makes a cute joke about how he’s hoping that Brad Pitt and his entire family will perform “The Sound of Music”. I loved how Brad and Angelina both laughed!

(I also giggled at the image of Dame Judi Dench trashing a hotel room in New York City!)

Thanks to Sal and nlkjnhlj for the video links!

Hey Mary Ann — I’ve always had that trouble too — not being able to get those videos going on here. I just accidently found a way! First click on the little volume button, raise it up, THEN click on the begin arrow AND IT RUNS! Don’t have a clue as to why that works, but it did for all 3 videos. Enjoyed viewing them Sherry, thx.

I don’t know if this will help. But most youtube videos will not run for me unless i click on the specific thread. Like if i hit play on the main page it won’t run but when i come to the thread it will. Maybe that’s your problem Mary Ann.

Sal, I completly agree with you! I was just at the store today, and on this week’s Life & Style Cover, one of the side blurbs on the cover is about JA turning 40. I forget exactly what it said, but the very setence began with: “Jen on Brad….”

Granted, at least they weren’t trying to claim (well, at least not on the cover, anyway) that Brad is lusting for JA or vice-versa, but still! Was it really neccesary for them to mention Brad (and in the very first sentence to boot!) in the blurb about the story about JA’s 40th birthday?

I can’t be too mad at them, however, as their main part of the cover contains a story about the J-Ps that, for once, is a nice story! It’s about their “new house” (I’m assuming they’re referring to the place they’ll be staying at in Long Island while Angie films Salt. They probably claim that the J-Ps bought it while in reality they are most likely renting, but oh well! If that’s the worst they’re printing about the J-Ps this week, I’m happy!).

The picture on the main part of the cover is actually a picture of each of the J-P kids. I chuckled a little at that, because some of the pictures are really old (for example, the one of Zahara looks remarkably similar to one of the pap pics of her either being brought to or being picked up from school in Prague back in 2007).

Life&Style has always tended to defend the J-Ps more than the other tabs, so I’m glad to see that trend continuing! In other tab news, I had to give either InTouch or Star (I forget which one) credit. They mentioned on the cover that “Jen Meets the Twins,” but, for once, they just made it a small blurb at the top of the cover rather than the main cover picture and story.

It’s actually kind of funny, because there’s a picture of Jen smiling away…Next to pictures of Knox and Viv looking confused (the pictures of them from the airport, obviously)! Speaking of which, the picture of Knox on either Life&Style or InTouch/Star made me almost laugh out loud, as he’s looking like he’s thinking: “What the f****?!”!

joliepittfanatic lol you are funny, the tabs are going wild, I read a piece they did on Lady J. Jen’s milestone is not a milestone, well the big 40 and comparing her caree to Angie’s own but it was’nt really flattering to her, well who cares. Brad and Angie tied for no 2 in the most valuable stars in hollywood who should keep acting out of 20 no news there. They have won so much award who can keep up, the big one is the elusive Oscar but I have hope for Brad.

Cute videos! Some of the questions are repetitive, but that is to be expected. Sometimes general questions are asked so that the interviewee can take it to anywhere they want. Like the age old “are you excited to be nominated” questions, some actors may start talking about the film and how much it meant to them, some may talk about the making of the film and their coworkers, some may talk about their family and their reaction etc.
I don’t really get why the tabs keep on insisting those meetings between Jen and the kids. First it was “Jen meets Shiloh!” and now it’s “Jen meets the twins”. Not that I think Angie would have a problem with it because I don’t think Angie would mind showing her kids to Billy Bob or John Lee Miller, but both Brad and Jen insisted that they don’t talk other than the occasional congrats. Why would you show your babies to a person you talk to once a year?

JW, I completely agree! I don’t think Angie would have a problem with it, either (and I also don’t think Brad would take any of the kids to meet Jen behind Angie’s back like the tabs seemed to suggest with the Shiloh story.). Also, if Brad were to bring the kids to meet JA, don’t you think he’d bring all of them rather than just the bio ones?

why bother with tabloids, they all lie all the time, give them no thought, you will only be swimming in their dirty lies, get out of the pool! lol!

joliepittfanatic: did the twins really meet jen? is this for real? i understand angie would agree with this but isn’t unfair for the other kids? why would brad only show shiloh, knox and viv? I think if they would introduce their kids, it should be all six of them considering the fact that they all love them and cared so much about their feelings. I mean what would the other kid thinks? that they don’t deserve to see their daddy’s first wife? that it’s because their adopted? i don’t think they would do that.

I remember angie’s interview in readers digest wherein she said that at first she doesn’t want a biological child, she’s ready to face that fact because she’s so much concerned about the other kids. I remember she said, what would the kids say, suddenly there are kids who look like mommy and daddy. but in the end they both manage to explain it with the other kids. that eventhough they don’t look like mommy nor daddy, their still their children. and adoption is a very open topic in the JP’s home. all the kids new they came from someone else tummy, i remember another interview where angie shared that she over heard maddox saying to zee zee that zee zee should be thankful because she has two mommy. one mommy is the one she came from, i believe maddox said she came to someone else tummy, and the other one is their mommy who takes good care of them and love them.

dunno, but i really don’t believe that jen meets them.

by the way.. happy birthday to Jennifer Aniston.
i heard she’s engaged to John Mayer. haha! don’t know if that’s true either..

accidentalBRANfan, thanks for your suggestion. I saw passerby’s suggestion before yours and I tried it and it worked. But the next time I will also try your way. Thanks everyone for the help I have been having so much trouble with my computer running slow, when I am in Pittwatch it is the worse.

I think Mick Jagger was hilarious and I don’t think either Brad or Angelina could be offended, he obviously wasn’t having a dig at them, or Judi dench, etc, and they both laughed beautifully, it didn’t seemed faked or forced.
On the subject of British and American service, I agree that it is very different, but I dont think our (English) service is particularly bad we just expect different things. We don’t expect every member of staff to smile at us and tell us to have a nice day, it comes across as disingenuous. When in the US my friends and I always get incredibly annoyed in stores when being constantly asked if we need help etc, I’ve walked out of several places because the over bearing staff made me feel uncomfortable, if I needed help I’d asked. I think it just depends on what you are used to.
