Facts and rumors about the return of Smallville's cast

So Smallville has been renewed for season 8, and last we heard Michael Rosenbaum and Kristin Kreuk were not returning.

All that may be changing, now.

Here are some facts and rumors about the return of Smallville’s cast.

FACT: Tom Welling (Clark) is already contracted to return. (He better!)

FACT: The contracts for Michael Rosenbaum (Lex), Kristin Kreuk (Lana) and Allison Mack (Chloe) end with season 7.

Rumor: CW is in negotiations with both Michael and Allison to make a deal for them to appear in season 8.

Rumor: Kristin is expected to appear in some episodes of season 8, but there is no word yet if she returns.

FACT: No word yet on Allison Mack.

FACT: Erica Durance (Lois), Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy), Laura Vandervoort (Kara), and John Glover (Lionel) are all contracted for Season 8.

FACT: James Marsters (Brainiac) has expressed interest guest starring again for season 8.
